LANParty JR P45-T2RS este construita in jurul chipset-ului mainstream Intel P45, iar LANParty JR 790GX-M2RS este echipata cu chipset-ul AMD 790GX si southbridge-ul SB750. Ambele placi de baza includ o multitudine de dotari, cum ar fi: 2 sloturi PCI-Express x16 pentru configuratii SLI/CrossFire (in functie de platforma), PWM Digital, condensatori solizi (doar pentru modelul LANParty JR P45-T2RS), radiator din cupru si cu heatpipe pentru racirea chipset-ului. Modelele sunt echipate cu 12 porturi USB, iesiri audio pe 8 canale, precum si tehnologiile proprietare Genie BIOS si CMOS Reload.

Aceasta multitudine de dotari, LANParty JR P45-T2RS si LANParty JR 790GX-M2RS isi vor gasi locul in sistemele HTPC high-performance sau in carcasele compacte destinate LanParty-urilor. Preturile si disponibilitatea celor doua modele sunt inca tinute secrete.

Proaspat lansata placa de baza ASUS P5Q Deluxe este o implementare a chipset-ului Intel P45 + ICH10 si promite performante de top dar si o eficienta energetica imbunatatita.

Testele prezentate pe net au demonstrat ca ASUS P5Q Deluxe este o placa de top, dar cu un pret destul de mic pentru ceea ce ofera: 120 lire sterline (aproximativ 600RON).

Au aparut poze cu placile de baza Gigabyte echipate cu noul chipset Intel P45: GA-P45-DS5 si GA-EP45-DS3P.



Intel P45 promite un suport mai bun pentru procesoarele quad-core precum si pentru procesoarele construite pe tehnologia de 45nm, acest nou chipset fiind construit pe tehnologie de 65nm (spre deosebire de vechile chipseturi care utilizau tehnologia de 90nm). Cu toate ca aceste noi placi de baza par identice cu cele echipate cu Intel P35/X38 si nu prezinta modificari in ceea ce priveste PCB-ul si sistemul de racire, exista niste imbunatatiri care trebuie mentionate. Ambele placi au integrate butoane pentru power, reset si clear CMOS (care sunt identice cu cele utilizate de placile de baza ASUS din seria ROG).



Mai mult, modelul GA-P45-DS5 este echipat cu 10 porturi SATA, din care 4 provin din chip-ul Silicon Image.
