Record de overclocking! kngpn (cunoscutul overclocker) a reusit sa stoarca si ultima picatura de performanta dintr-o configuratie 3-way SLI cu 3 placi video Nvidia GeForce GTX 280.

Folosind racire cu azot lichid (LN2) atat pentru cele 3 placi grafice EVGA GTX 280 cat si pentru procesorul Intel QX9650, kngpn a obtinut 54.519 puncte in 3DMark Vantage.

Cu o saptamana inainte de lansarea oficiala a placilor video NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280, a fost publicat un test al acestor placi intr-o configuratie 3-way SLI.

Folosind un procesor Intel QX9650, in 3DMark Vantage Vista DX10 s-au obtinut 17.759 puncte cu o configuratie NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 3-way SLI. Dupa overclock-area procesorului la 4GHz, scorul a crescut la 21.350 puncte.

ASUS lanseaza in premiera mondiala placa video ASUS EAH3850X2/HTDI/1G. Acasta este echipata cu doua procesoare grafice ATI Radeon HD3850 si 1GB de memorie DDR3.

Sistemul de racire dispune de doua ventilatoare - cate unul pentru fiecare cip grafic - ce asigura temperaturi reduse de functionare. Nu au fost uitati nici condensatorii, acestia fiind toti solizi pentru o mai multa stabilitate.

In 3DMark06, ASUS EAH3850X2/HTDI/1G a obtinut 13250 puncte, cu 34% mai mult decat o solutie cu un singur GPU si cu 5% mai mult decat doua placi single-GPU conectate in CrossFire. Aceste scoruri fac din ASUS EAH3850X2/HTDI/1G un concurent serios pentru placile echipate cu 9800 GTX.

EVGA a lansat un update la cea mai rapida solutie grafica actuala, si anume cele 3 modele: EVGA 9800GX2 Superclocked, KO si SSC. Cu o rata de texturare de 86.4 miliarde/sec. , modelul SSC reprezinta cea mai puternica implementare a chipsetului 9800 GX2. Cele trei modele noi sunt testate 100% pentru a asigura cele mai mari nivele de performanta si stabilitate. Cu o astfel de placa, Vince “kngpn” Lucido a reusit sa obtina aproape 30.000 de puncte in 3DMark 06.
